Bridget Jaecks, MS, LPC-S, LCDC

We are excited to welcome Bridget Jaecks to our team!

Bridget has 27 years of experience and has worked in treatment centers, outpatient settings as well as public and charter schools. She is committed to providing support to adolescents and adults as they recover from addictions, eating disorders, trauma, grief, depression and anxiety.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy technique that helps people heal from trauma and other distressing experiences, Bridget is a level two trained EMDR specialist and utilizes bilateral tapping during treatment. It is based on the idea that traumatic memories can become “stuck” in the brain, leading to emotional and psychological difficulties. The goal of EMDR is to change the way the memory is stored in the brain, this reduces emotional turmoil and the vividness of the trauma. Therefore, upon completion clients experience resolution from adverse experiences and traumas that previously had impeded their daily living.

Bridget is also a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC), an addiction counselor. She treats individuals and families that are struggling with addictions. Bridget’s extensive education, training and experience in this area has resulted in her heightened understanding of the complexities of how addiction affects the individual physically, emotionally, and mentally as well as the impact that addiction has on families.
