Lori Wilkerson, LCSW
Lori is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and skilled psychotherapist who has served individuals, couples and families that are aged from adolescence to senior adulthood.
With 25 years of counseling experience, Lori has worked in various areas of mental health, some of which includes:
- Individual, couple and family therapy for issues surrounding depression, trauma, anxiety, crisis resolution and adjusting to major transitions across the life-span
- Parenting, adoption, infertility and crisis pregnancy
- Personal issues with self-esteem, boundaries, identity, self-care
- Relationship issues
- Helping women with their unique challenges
- Generational and Cultural Differences
- Utilized TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) methods working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and working as a hospice social worker, providing counseling and comfort, to persons and their family members.
Lori was born and raised in west Texas. She attended Baylor University for her undergraduate degree, followed by graduate school at The University of Texas at Arlington in the School of Social Work. Immediately following graduate school, she began her professional work based in the Dallas area, while traveling around the state to meet with individuals and families for counseling and casework. She has continued her work in North Texas. She maintains a full and diverse case load at Change-Well, and is a highly sought after therapist.
